About Me
Hi! I’m Hannah Edens, lifelong North Carolina resident, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. After spending more than a decade at UNC Hospital providing lactation support to pregnant & postpartum people both inpatient and outpatient, including the NICU, PICU, Perinatal Psych Unit and more and working in public health nutrition, I began my private practice in 2023. I share the credential of parenthood with the families I support and have traveled down 3 challenging, exhausting, and amazing paths with each of my own babies.
I started this practice to provide the kind of support I wish I'd had myself—expert guidance, reassurance when things felt overwhelming, and someone who would keep showing up when I needed help.
When I’m not helping families feed their babies or teaching others how to provide compassionate support, I’m probably out hiking my neighborhood trails with my border collie, at the beach with my fam, whipping up a yummy meal, traveling with friends, or running my kids around town.
I’d love to be a part of your journey, and my priority is to support you, your family, and your infant feeding goals.

What brings families to Hannah?
-
Pain, nipple damage, shallow latch and positioning challenges.
-
Low milk supply, infant weight gain, anxiety about production and supplementation.
-
Engorgement, oversupply and managing milk production comfortably.
-
Bottle refusal, pumping, paced feeding and returning to work.
-
Allergies? Oral restrictions? Reflux? Prematurity? Fatigue? I can help you narrow in on the root cause when it isn’t just milk supply.
-
Sometimes you need another set of experienced eyes to figure out what's going on.
Let’s support your feeding goals — together.
